Volkswagen Camper & Commercial – August 2019

(Kiana) #1
As an event to add to your show diary,
DubLogic is a one day only show, a must
do; with all proceeds from the day going
towards the Marie Currie charity, you can
truly give something back too, over the
years the organisers have raised more
than £12,000 for this great cause.

appreciation, and it’s great to see
in a world of social media and
instant gratification, people actually
chatting face to face and generally
sharing the passion of all things VW.
Aside from the cars and buses in
attendance, there is the opportunity
to relax on the straw bale seating
and watch some acoustic sets in the
music marquee. With the choice of
a nice cold beer from the bar or a
cup of coffee and a tasty bite to eat
from one of the food stalls. You can
purchase some new Volkswagen
themed t-shirts from the clothing
sellers and the younger kids can
burn off some energy on the
inflatable slide.
The show opens to the public at
10:00am and is always well attended
and busy throughout the day. The
Top 20 award trophies are presented

with the winners driving their
vehicles onto the ‘drive on stage’
giving spectators a great view. This
year a stunning Type 34 Karmann
Ghia took the top spot. Last year
it was Lloyd Jackson from Deluxe
Metalwork with his outstanding
early Split Screen Beetle that
scooped best in show, so the air-
cooled scene is always very highly
represented at this event.
