Whether you’ve just brought your pup home
or you’ve had one for years, these tips will
help you form a stronger bond!
PATIENCE IS KEY.
This is something you really have to remember when
you’ve just brought your puppy home. You might be
obsessed with your furry friend right away (the big
eyes, tiny body and baby bark — who wouldn’t be?),
but your pup needs time to adjust to its new home
and family. So don’t take it personally if your dog
seems uncertain when it’s still getting to know you.

QUALITY TIME MATTERS.

When a friend or family member is important to
you, you spend quality time together to maintain
a close connection. You also need to do that with
your dog. Try to spend at least 30 minutes of one-
on-one time with your canine cutie every day —
whether you’re giving it belly rubs in front of the
TV or taking it on a walk around the neighborhood.

PAY ATTENTION.

Every dog has a unique
personality. Keep your eye
on your pooch to figure out
if it likes snuggling or if it
prefers just sitting next to you
on the couch. Does it gobble
up peanut butter or are bones
its thing? Maybe your dog
likes playing fetch outside, or
it might prefer playing tug of
war with a rope toy. Knowing
what your puppy wants and
needs will make it easier to
keep your pet happy.
