Wrap sweet potatoes in foil. After you have a good fi re going,
place potatoes on the edge of the fi re, directly in the coals.
Cook until potatoes can be easily pierced with a knife, about
1 hour, rotating potatoes halfway through cooking with very
long tongs. If there is any resistance when piercing potatoes,
place back on coals, and continue to cook until soft. Serve
warm with your favorite fl avored butter.
