ratherthana lightsprinkling,whichcan
encouragerootstoquesttowardsthe
surfacein theirsearchformoisture.If
wateris runningoffverydrysoil,create
a ‘moat’aroundyourmostvulnerable
plantstocatchandhold on to all
availablewater.
Neverletcontainercompostdryout
completelyasit canbehardtore-wet
properly.If thisdoeshappen,adda
coupleof dropsof washing-upliquidto
thewateringcantobreakthewater’s
surfacetension,soit is moreeasily
absorbedintothecompost.
