BEST BEESA


TheB31 which appeared inRC in 2015,being
road-testedby FrankW,now resides with me
in Cumbria.It still runswell and alwaysputs
asmile onmy faceeventhough itcould not
pull skin offaricepud (yum).It lives in the
shed with itsfellowBSA, an A10GoldenFlash.
Ipurchased the B31 from Chrisat Venture
Classics,along day’sride fromCumbria.All
I’ve done is cleanita nd replacethe light
lenses andthe frontrim. It ridesfantastic.

scars and all.Ijust maintain andreplace
things when needed.Ifa nyone is in the
area of Silloth in Cumbria near year,atthe

DREAMS


In the mid-1970s the Honda CB750/4wasthe
ultimatein credibilityinmyeyes.Sparks from
the exha ust groundin gasthey went round
the corner in to St Mary’s Street,thatglorious
wail of four cylinders.Commandos,Tridents
and Rocket 3swerestill glamorous,but the
Hondawassomething else.
Threeyears ago,Igot to ride onearound
Corsica, along with an A10 and A65, and
aHinckleyBonnie .Stepping offtheA10,
Ithoughtthe Hondawould beahandful,
but whatasweet-natured pussycatitwas.
Smooth, civilised,never -endin grevs... It
wasobvious whyitc hanged thecourse of
motorcycling.

FORKHANDLES


This concerns theBSA B25and Triumph T25,
as describedacouple ofyears ago in the
magazine.The BSAhas nakedforksbut the
Triumph isfitted withfork gaiters.Ihave a
Triumph TR5T andIwanttofitgaiters,but as
youare awaretheynever had them as standard.
Ibelievethe forksare identical to the T25’s.
Ihavesearched parts books,etc,but
cannotfind apartnumber.Can youtell me
please,whatgaiters arefitted to your T25? Is
thereasource or apartnumber?

Thereare severalgaiters which willfitthose
forks.Lookfor partnumber 97-1510.Anda
small gentleword of advice: buyreputable
parts fromareputable dealer,that waythey
should lastalong time.Those on our T25SS are
LF Harriscomponents and aremaybe15years
old now. Cheap versions haveatendencytof all
apartafter averyshorttime.FrankW
