Hello, Cookie Dough,
by Kristen Tomlan.
Oh hi,
dessert of
your
sexiest dreams
THE PASTRY
Buy two sheets of
your favorite
premade pie dough
and roll them out
until they’re each
roughly 9'' x 13''.
Cut each sheet into
9 equal rectangles
so you have 18 total.
Coat the edges of
every rectangle
with a brushing of
whisked egg.
THE DOUGH
Grab 1^1 ∕ 8 cups edible
cookie dough (like
DŌ’s chocolate chip,
cookiedonyc.com).
Add 2 tablespoons to
the middle of half of
your pie-dough rect-
angles. Top each
with the remaining
pastry to create
9 pie pockets. Crimp
the edges together
with a fork.
THE BAKE
Poke holes in the cen-
t e r o f e a c h p o c ke t (t o
let out steam), and
bake your cuties on
parchment-lined
cookie trays at 350
degrees for 20 to
30 minutes. After
they’re cool, go wild
on the decorations.
(Can’t go wrong
with icing and
sprinkles, duh.)
