record with a 5.68 earned-run aver-
age and nine saves in 14 games.

that showed a Grade 2 hamstring
strain. He was placed on the IL on
Sunday.

Etc.

man Robinson Canowas placed
on the injured list after suffering a
torn left hamstring Saturday while
running the bases. He is hitting
.252 with 10 home runs and 32 runs
batted in. ... Right-hander Yonny
Chirinoswas placed on the IL, the
third Tampa Bay Rays starting
pitcher to be sidelined. Chirinos
has inflammation in a finger and is
expected to sit out at least a
month. He is 9-5 with a 3.62 ERA.
