1 Mask the horizon line and pencil in your
tide line. Blend Antarctic and Mermaid
Fresco paint using a foam brush in a
sweeping motion across the canvas.

2 Move masking tape to above the
horizon, and following the pencil line
blend Mermaid, Peacoat and Glass Blue.
Keep the darker tones in the distance.

3 Add texture to the sea. I’ve used a
piece of textured wallpaper, painted it
with blue tones and shades and then
pressed it directly onto the canvas.

to finish the project: As I got closer to the centre of the flowering sphere, I increased the height of the flowers by using extra
silicone. I curled some green wire around a paintbrush, and also formed some leaf shapes to slot in and around the beachy blooms.

I created a fizzing tide line by doodling some white dots and adding some stickles to indicate the sparkling ebb and flow. I also
added Liquid Pearls and Stickles to the flowers and leaves. Using some red Liquid Pearls I created a ladybird shape onto a silicone
sheet. Once dry I added detail using black and white permanent pens.

4 Stencil the swirly clouds using Lake
Wanaka Fresco paint, you can add more
detail to them later once they are dry.

5 Slightly off centre, apply Grunge Paste
through stencil PS135 to create a chain
for your hanging blooms and allow to dry.

6 Using a template or plate, pencil in a
circle to use as a guide. Stamp foliage
stamps around the circle.

Step-by-step... Beachy Blooms

7 Stamp flowers using a VersaFine Onyx ink.
Paint with translucent Frescos. Add height
to the flowers by cutting out elements of
the stamped image and layer.

8 Add extra colour to your blooms using
coloured pencils and blend. I love to
add extra dots and doodles using a
white paint pen.

9 Build your flower ball from the outside
in, using the smaller flowers on the
outside and keeping the bigger flowers
for the centre.
