To get a similar effect more quickly,
try embossing a piece of card with the
Lumbar 3D embossing folder and follow
step 1 using Burnt Umber media fluid
acrylic. Complete step 2 and then add
more candle wax, painting over with
tinting base and finishing by heat drying
and rubbing back as before. Use as a
background for a masculine card or a
journal panel adding some collage pieces
and ephemera.

If you don’t achieve as much
peeled paint or cracking as
you’d like, next time rub over more
candle wax, and don’t overwork the
paint over the Weathered Wood
medium. Paint a thin coat with
