Craft Stamper – August 2019

(Brent) #1

to finish the project: I added a few more Gel plate layers
to the background, then traced around the tag and cut the
background to size. I added more stamping, printing and
splattering to the tag, then glued it to the MDF tag shape.
I coloured some plastic mesh, and some cheesecloth to
use as textural elements, then glued these, along with
some threads, to the tag. The textured button was glued
on top, and a text phrase added to finish.

12 Pull a print from the Gel plate. It can
be used as a background at this point,
or you can continue to add Gel plate
layers on top with stencils, more
colours etc.

Trish will be demoing this project and
lots more Gel print techniques on our
stand at The Festival Of Quilts 2019!
Come and visit us on stand R30
