Always Be a Mermaid

I love the sentiment and so used it as a
starting point for my card. I inked some
card with the Distress Oxides, and sprayed
them with water to merge them. This
created an underwater effect. Once dry,
I stamped the mermaid in Archival ink,
and the blue circles in Chipped Sapphire
Distress Ink. I used the Jane Davenport
Making Faces flesh coloured paint for
the body, and added watercolour paints
and gold marker. I added the embossing
powder, glitter, beads, artstones and
fragments for the under the sea look. The
die cuts were cut from watercolour card
before painting and added to the card. As
the sentiment says, always be yourself,
unless you can be a mermaid!This month’s gallery has been inspired by the
beautiful blue and green hues of the ocean!
