Craft Stamper – August 2019

Deep Blue Sea Love

By Samra Leshinski

I made this dimensional card using various
sea themed dies and stamps. I stamped the
seahorse using a layering technique to give him
dimension, while the starfish and sentiment
were heat embossed. I wanted to create the
depth of the sea by using different shades of
blue in each layer going from light to dark.

Deep Blue Sea
By Jane Taylor
I was inspired by the image of deep blue seas, and so
created an alcohol ink background using blues and a
splash of silver. I then dabbed over this background
using a sponge and Blending Solution. Using
StazOn ink, I stamped some seaweed on top of this
background and placed it behind a die cut circular
window. I stamped, coloured and die cut all the other
elements and then had great fun building up my scene.
Some pieces were raised on foam pads and others
were left flat. I added a clear gem just under each set
of bubbles.I love how these take on the colour from the
alcohol ink background and really give the appearance
of being wet.
I finished off by stamping a small greeting and
adhering the whole thing onto a sea green card base.
