Craft Stamper – August 2019

(Brent) #1
Fossil Tag
By Mark Gould
I applied a thin coat of modeling paste to
the tag to create an uneven texture. This
was then painted and distressed with the
white cream wax. I raided my scrap paper
box and added a torn section to the top of
the tag. The XPS foam was given a faux
stone finish and the fossil was cast using
a two part resin and painted with the
Media Fluids. Before assembly, the tag
was stamped using the Crafty Individuals
Stamps and Archival ink. Once dry, the tag
was given a coat of satin varnish.

Artist Trading Coins and Display
By Mark Gould
The Trading Coin display was given a distressed finish using chalk paints, then
sanded back to give a worn look. The coins were covered with some beach themed
design paper from Graphic 45. I placed the coins in the holder and started stamping
with the Crafty Individuals stamps, making sure some of the images crossed onto
both the coin and the display backing. Everything was then given a coat of satin
varnish to help protect it, and to also bring out the colours and stamping.
