Craft Stamper – August 2019

The Voice Of the Sea

By Elizabeth Robinson

I love creating master boards using Distress Oxides.
Just by smooshing the ink onto your card and giving
it a light spritz of water, you can create fabulous and
easy backgrounds. I used my stamping platform to
randomly stamp out several of the images over the
top of one of those sheets using blue VersaFine ink,
creating my own patterned paper. The sentiment
was stamped in the same ink on a scrap piece,
and then both pieces were inked around the edges
before being layered onto a C6 card with a little piece
of muslin for some texture.

I created another master board, but this
time I used pens, and chose a pink, yellow
and red colour scheme. I stamped out
the images, and fussy cut around them.
I stamped the sentiment and the long
border on a 5" square piece of text and
graphic card. This stamping created a
base for the coloured images to sit on. I
love the contrast of the black and white
with the pop of colour over the top.
