Craft Stamper – August 2019

(Brent) #1

Sea Mist Butterfly on p.44

Sara Naumann this month uses a
product called Dura-Lar to stamp and
heat emboss directly onto. A beautiful
little detail which adds to the informal
and slightly distressed finish, is the partial
embossing of the stamped butterflies
allowing the stamping ink to show
through!

Esther Glas on p.10
We in the Craft Stamper office love a
planner, and this month Esther Glas and
her team of designers showcase some
amazing stamps and dies designed
by Esther for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
We love the attention to detail, with the
Planner Essentials die set even including
hole reinforcers creating a cohesive look
to finish off a planner page!

Eileen Hull on p.32
Once again the Eileen Hull team have
come up with some stunning designs
using Journal dies by Eileen. We have a
particular fondness for the vintage style
journal by Jennie Atkinson, created with
a collage of lace and fabrics. To create
that vintage look she used tea to die
her materials which gives the project an
authentic aged feel!

Stamping Contrasts on p.64

In this month’s issue, our designers
created some beautiful sea themed
projects using Seaside Treasures stamp
set by Crafty Individuals. This project by
Elizabeth Robinson shows how simply
stamping the background in black and
layering the same or similar images
over the top in a vibrant colour scheme,
creates real impact!

Cover Stamp Makes on p.60
Continuing with this month’s seaside
theme, the cover stamp is an iconic
beach hut which is absolutely adorable.
Samantha Read created a little seaside
niche in a beautiful turquoise and lilac
colour scheme. ‘We love the distressing
around the inside edges creating
a weather worn appearance’.

Under The Boardwalk on p.18
Brenda Brown this month demonstrates
how to create a retro poster with the
look of weathered wood! The attention
to detail makes this project look so
authentic. Scoring lines down the surface
of the background and highlighting with
ink adds to create this weathered wood
effect and helps it feel so convincing!

Take a look at some of the inspiring details from this month’s makes.
