CUT OUT AND KEEP

GET IN

WARRIOR II
Benefits
This is an excellent pose to cultivate a
feeling of power, like a strong warrior.
It is also a deep hip-opening pose that
strengthens the muscles in your entire
lower body, opens your chest and
shoulders, improves breathing capacity
and increases circulation throughout
your body. It’s also known to be
therapeutic for flat feet, sciatica, infertility

and osteoporosis, and can help
improve your concentration.

How to do it
●●Start with your feet together,
arms by your sides. Then, with an
exhalation, lightly jump your feet apart
and raise your arms parallel to the floor,
reaching them actively out to the sides,
with your palms facing down.

●●Turn your right foot out 90 degrees
and your left toes in slightly, aligning your
right heel with your left heel or left instep.
●●Exhale and bend your right knee
over your right ankle.
●●If comfortable for your neck, turn
your head to look over your front fingers.
●●Hold for 30 seconds to one minute.
Inhale to come up, then reverse your
feet and repeat on the left.

This strengthening pose
enhances your concentration
and helps you stay grounded
