C
ornwall’s award-
winning Miracle
Theatre celebrates 40
years of producing
original, inventive and
entertaining theatre with a brand
new comic escapade, A Perfect
World, which concludes a 55-date
open-air tour this month.
Written and directed by Bill
Scott with original music by Tom
Adams, A Perfect World tells the
story of a feisty young woman
venturing into a ‘Boy’s Own’
world of undiscovered jungles,
treasure maps, campfires and
penknives. She stumbles upon
a bountiful paradise, whose
inhabitants seem entirely
peaceful, productive and fulfilled.
Is this tranquil place the best of
Throughout August
A PERFECT WORLD
all possible worlds? Or is it all too
good to be true?
‘People have dreamt of Utopias
since the earliest times,’ says Bill
Scott. ‘Literature contains many
weird and wonderful variations of
possible perfect worlds. There have
been various attempts to build
real-life Utopian communities, but
they invariably have one thing in
common: a “perfect” world comes
at a price. It’s a wonderfully rich
theme, especially when linked to
the popular genre of exploration
and adventure – think Indiana
Jones meets Doctor Who!”
Bill has assembled a strong cast
of Miracle regulars - Benjamin
Dyson, Ben Kernow, Rose
McPhilemy, Dan Richards and
Hannah Stephens – for this brand
new, hair-raising adventure
through undiscovered lands.
A Perfect World has a number
