Sonic art isn’t everyone’s cup of

tea. For some it’s challenging,

threatening and even a little bit

pretentious. Nevertheless, it’s

capturing the imagination in a

variety of surprising places.

Among them is a group of audio

innovators from Glasgow, who

are collecting the sounds around

them and then crafting them into

playful, bizarre and even beautiful

compositions. In this fascinating

if somewhat noisy documentary,

radio producer Steve Urquhart

meets some of them.
