SPORT IN BRIEF

then they’ll sleep because Sunday they
have to go again.”
Wolves will touch down and train on
Friday to get ready for Leicester.
Nuno said: “We won’t even be
thinking about Leicester until after the
game but once we’ve played it will all be
about active recovery.
“We prepare ourselves as a club – it’s
very important. Everything is ready. It’s
tough, but we are ready.
“It’s a long way and there are a lot of
hours flying but we have to do it and so
you have to prepare well and only then
think about Leicester.
“We’re going to try to make use of the
time on the flight back – good food, cold
packs and things like that.
“It’s a challenge but we have to
embrace it and we will. The players are
very willing to challenge themselves.”
Nuno said there is no chance of his
side underestimating the unfancied
Armenians, insisting: “They are a good
team with good players.
“In football there are no favourites.
Football is one of the only sports that
can’t be dictated by statistics.
“You can’t afford to think about who
you are going to face. I’m always very
careful about that.
“That’s why I don’t think about
statistics. What’s important is to prepare
well and play the game.”
Nuno is keeping his cards close to his
chest on how strong he goes in tonight’s
first leg, but all his big-hitters will make
the trip including Raul Jimenez who has
recovered from a foot injury.
WOLVES (probable): Ruddy; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Traore, Saiss,
Neves, Moutinho, Vinagre; Jota, Cutrone. KICK-OFF: 5pm.

WOLVES will use Robocop technology
to make sure they are ready for their big
Premier League kick off on Sunday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men face
Leicester but before that they have a
gruelling 6,000-mile round trip to
Armenia in the Europa League.
Wolves face minnows Pyunik Yerevan
tonight in the third qualifiying round,
first leg before getting straight back on
their chartered jet to prepare for the
season opener at the King Power.
They want to avoid a shock out on the
pitch, but they are guaranteed one or
two on the way home – the Wolves plane
is kitted out with hi-tech electronic
pulse equipment to aid muscle recovery.
The Molineux sports scientists are
leaving nothing to chance in minimising
the impact of the match in the Asian
outpost.
Asked to explain what the players are
in for, Nuno burst out laughing,
extended both arms sideways and did
Frankenstein-style jolting movements.
“I don’t know exactly... some kind of
electro stimulation,” he said. “They’ll
have food prepared by our chef and

Wolves will get pulses racing
