The majority of consumers
will still choose to check
TripAdvisor over other review
sites before booking a holiday, a
new report has found.
According to a survey from Uberall,
over three out of four (76%) of UK
consumers have checked online
reviews on TripAdvisor, Google,
Facebook or Yelp, but in terms
of popularity, TripAdvisor is the
clear winner, with 68% of those
surveyed saying
they use the site

reviews.

HSBC has launched a Green
Loan scheme aimed at small
and medium-sized businesses
who want to grow their commit-
ment to sustainability.
The minimum
HSBC Green Loan
starts at £300,
with the scheme
out of a wider ini-

ADVERTORIAL

Kingsmill Group in Scotland has
opened its second hotel, Ness
Walk in Inverness.
The Group has transformed a 19th
century historic Grade B listed build-
ing into a new 47-bedroom hotel with
fine dining restaurant, stylish bar and
event space, which opened its doors
this month.
Ness Walk is the second hotel from
the Group, and will become the sister
hotel to Kingsmill, also in Inverness.
The bedrooms at Ness Walk have
been named after the trees that sur-
round the hotel, including cedar and
laurel and decorated to reflect the

seasonal landscape of the Highlands
with soft colours and textiles.
The hotel’s Torrish Restaurant is led
by executive chef Craig Douglas, while
The Riverbank Room is the private
event space at Ness Walk.
Tony Story, CEO of The Kingsmills
Group said: “We wanted to create a
luxurious escape with Ness Walk, and
that’s exactly what we’ve done.”

Duke of Cornwall Hotel in
Plymouth has been sold to new
owners who have handed management
over to Bespoke Hotels, signalling the
group’s first property in the area.
The historic hotel has been sold
by co owners Jonathan Morcom and
Walter Combstock after 18 years at the
helm of the Grade-II listed building in
Millbay in a multi-million pound deal.
Duke of Cornwall Hotel has been

acquired by international Singapore-
based property developer Fragrance
Group, who has leased the business to
operator Bespoke Hotels.
Bespoke owns or manages around 70
hotels in the UK and this deal will be
the group’s first in Plymouth.
Its managing director, Graham Mar-
skell, said there will be no immediate
changes to the hotel and said it will not
be re-branded into a corporate entity.
