The recently-renovated Linth-
waite House in the Lake District
is to partner with chef Simon Rogan to
open a new restaurant in October.
The 30-bedroom hotel, part of
South-African based Leeu Collection,
will launch Henrock later this year,
which will lean heavily on influences,
techniques and produce discovered on
Rogan’s travels around the globe, in-
cluding Asia, and strengthen the chef ’s
offering in the north.
Henrock’s kitchen team will be led
by head chef Brian Limoges, who joins
from San Francisco after working in

Staff at St Giles House have
saved the business after it
went into administration.

restaurants such as Quince, Birdsong
and Atelier Crenn.
Working with Rogan, they will utilise
produce from Rogan’s own farm, Our
Farm, located less than a 30-minute
drive from Linthwaite House.
Overseeing F&B operations at Linth-
waite will be Nicolas Perdrier, who
began his career at Linthwaite House
before working for Rogan as assistant
manager at L’Enclume.
Once open in October, Henrock
will join Rogan’s other restaurants
L’Enclume, Roganic, Aulis and Rogan
& Co.

The Chestnut Group has ac-
quired The Crown in Stoke-by-
Nayland to take its collection of inns,
pubs and restaurants to ten.
Philip Turner, who founded the
Group in 2012, said the takeover of the
11-bedroom property was a ‘perfect
fit’ for the portfolio, with the business
having recently been nominated as one
of the AA’s Best Pubs in Suffolk.

16 years and was previously owned by
Richard Sunderland who invested in
expanding the kitchen and refurbishing

The Kings Arms Hotel in
Hampton Court will relaunch this
August with Michelin star chef Mark
Kempson at the helm of the restaurant.
The Grade-II listed, 14-bedroom
hotel is to be reopened by TY Dan-
juma Family Office, a privately owned
company that manages the assets of
Nigerian businessman, Theophilus
Yakubu Danjuma.

The Six Restaurant will feature a
menu designed by Mark Kempson and
will be headed up by head chef Jack
Scoines, championing local British
cuisine with a twist.
Kempson’s career has spanned
more than 20 years, with stints at two
Michelin star The Vineyard in Berk-
shire before he went on to head up his
own restaurant Kitchen W8 where he
secured his own star.
