Debrah Dhugga, managing director at Dukes
London, is to leave her position to join The Apart-
ment Group as COO.
Dhugga has been at Dukes as MD for the past 10 years,
overseeing Dukes London and the launch of Dukes Dubai in
2017 and said she was ‘sad to be leaving ’ both Dukes and par-
ent company Seven Tides.
“It’s been a wonderful experience and I have so many
fcbulous memories and worked with some amazing people,”
she comments.
She will now join the board of The Apartment Group in
September, a significant player in the North East’s leisure
sector with a portfolio comprising hotels, restaurants,
coaching inns and bars.
Bin Sulayem, Seven Tides CEO, thanked Debrah for her
commitment to the company and said he was sorry to see
Debrah go, wishing her every success in her new role.
In her new role, she will report to The Apartment Group
founder Duncan Fisher and work close with the team to
oversee brand development, operations, and the group’s ag-
gressive expansion plans.
Paul Skinner will join Dukes in September as GM.


Simon Maguire, regional general manager at Har-
bour Hotels Group, has left his position to take up
a new role with Luxury Family Hotels.
Maguire has worked with the 16-strong Harbour Hotels
Group for the last three years, after joining in July 2016
from his role as general manager at The Kensington Hotel,
part of The Doyle Collection.
Now he joins Luxury Family Hotels as managing director.
The group comprises five hotels including Fowey Hall,
New Park Manor in the New Forest and Wooley Grange
in Bath.
Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, Maguire said: “I am
delighted to be joining the Luxury Family Hotels team
as Managing Director. The business is entering an excit-
ing time with refurbishments set to begin imminently in
Fowey and the other properties to follow. My time at Har-
bour was invaluable opening several hotels in quick succes-
sion including Southampton Harbour Hotel which was an
incredible project to be a part of. I’m looking forward to my
new challenge.”
Prior to his role at The Kensington, he worked for Hotel
du Vin and The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey.
