Our team of Personal Progress Tutors support the academic success of groups of students by providing
personal support through: regular support and guidance, monitoring, tracking and target setting,
mentoringandcoaching,developingtheemployabilityskillsofourstudents.AsaPersonalProgressTutor,
you will be expected to deliver high quality pastoral support to a caseload of tutees, all aged 16-19,
studyingonarangeofcourses.
To be successful you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent.You will be enthusiastic with a good
understanding of our students’ needs as well as being self-motivated and able to support, motivate
and inspire groups of students. In addition, you will have good organisational, record keeping and good
communicationskills.
Ifsuccessful,youwouldplayavitalroleintheCollege,whichwasgradedas‘outstanding’inallcategories
by Ofsted in 2017. We excel in providing a broad, inclusive and high quality education to all of our
learners,whichhasresultedinsomeofthehighestlevelsofprogressiontoHigherEducationinthesector.
In 2017, Joseph Chamberlain College achievedAlevel pass rates of 99% for the fourth year running and
thebestresultsinthehistoryoftheCollege.
We were featured in the 2015 Parliamentary Review and will feature again in the 2019 Parliamentary
Reviewforbestpracticeinfurthereducation.WeareamemberoftheTeachers’DevelopmentTrustwhich
recognises our comprehensive package of innovative and high impact professional development.As part

Deputy Head of Faculty – Healthcare


Salary: £37,391 - £41,002 per annum plus excellent benefits


Full Time - Permanent


An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the thriving and ambitious Faculty of Healthcare,
Childcare and Public Services. The Faculty was graded outstanding in our most recent Ofsted
inspection and delivers courses from Level 1 to 6 across a range of class based and work
based learning programmes. We pride ourselves in delivering high quality teaching, learning
and training and have exceptional links with employers with whom we work in partnership.

The successful candidate will be inspirational, driven and demonstrate a passion for continual
improvement in this new role. You will be committed to excellence in teaching, learning and
training, have successful experience of management/co-ordination in a Further Educational
setting and have relevant vocational experience. You will support the Head of Faculty and work
with the existing Deputy Head of Faculty.
