At the Liria Palace in Madrid last October, the

Spaniards celebrated a royal(ish) wedding of

their own, as the Duke of Huéscar, the Duke of

Alba’s heir, married Sofia Palazuelo. The bride’s

dress was designed by her aunt Teresa Palazuelo,

and featured a dramatic detachable cape. Among

the stylish guests were Alejandra Dominguez Gila,

in an austerely chic navy-blue dress with statement

bow, and Queen Sofia, in cheerful mint green.

Others went for bright, brassy designs – and

none more so than Cósima Ramírez, in clashing

red and pink, and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in an

orange dress with blue spots and embellished

turquoise shoes, both of her own design.
