spirited lunch – barbecued muntjac, shot by Sir

Edward earlier that week – on a grand hydrangea-

bedecked table in the 18th-century Palladian

colonnade. After the raffle, which included art by

Daisy van Straubenzee, raised £17,000 for cancer

research, it was off to 5 Hertford Street for a

cocktail-fuelled afterparty.
