For Yorkshire-born and based designer Matty
Bovan (left) being inventive isn’t just work. ‘I
cannot live without creating,’ says the 29-year-
old. It’s a mantra that’s certainly paid off, having
seen him nominated for Emerging Designer at
the Fashion Awards two years in a row, in 2017
and 2018, and work with everyone from Katie
Grand to Stephen Jones. It’s only getting better:
next up is his S/S 20 collection, an e-commerce
site and a new zine.

and a full face of otherworldly make-up, 21-year-
old Yorkshire-born, East London-based Lucas
Nettleton-Tate (centre), is fast becoming a
fixture of London’s burgeoning arts scene. The
most thrilling moment for the Central Saint
Martins fashion student so far was dancing on
a platform at the A/W 18 Vivienne Westwood
show in Paris, with ‘complete creative input’.
