exhibition in the Moscow Fashion Museum.

They knew they were onto something when it

was attended by 10,000 people in just two

both Russia and Italy. The fourth venture is

Vintage Dream Lab, which sees Leffers creating

new pieces with vintage elements for the

modern woman looking for a hint of heritage.

Best of all, as the founder is keen to point out,

vintage pieces are a sustainable antidote to the

‘fast fashion’ culture of our age. ‘By giving

preference to vintage, you contribute to the

common cause and help to work against

overproduction,’ she explains. So, whatever

Leffers, a fascination with one-of-a-kind pieces

and an insatiable urge to collect were forged

early on. ‘As a child, I was the happy owner of

endless collections – from calendars and stamps

to beads and badges and even pebbles and

feathers,’ she explains. Years later, the collection

housed in her vintage gallery is rather more

luxurious. Featuring more than 10,000 pieces,

it contains one of the largest collections of

vintage jewellery and clothes in the whole of

Eurasia, from Sixties French fashion and Thirties

American brooches to collectible pieces from the

likes of Chanel and YSL.

The heart of Vintage Dream is the gallery, a

highlights from throughout the eras with

something to bring a unique touch to every

according to the (ultra-chic) owner? ‘I cannot

answer that,’ she says, smiling. ‘It’s like picking

a favourite child. Every piece is remarkable,

with its own tale to tell. But I am especially
