BAUX was founded on the belief that
building materials should be sustainable,
surprisingly functional and remarkably
beautiful. BAUX designs, produces and
markets functional construction materials
that meet the contemporary expectations
of architects, engineers and builders –
without compromising tomorrow’s safety
and environmental standards. The 100 per
cent bio-based BAUX acoustic pulp panel is
the first in the world to uncompromisingly
combine the performance properties of
sound absorption, safety and durability
with sustainability and modern aesthetics.

All of the products available at The House
of Things are not only united by exceptional
workmanship and provenance, but they
also partner with designers who use clean
commodities with minimum impact on
the environment. Some of the brands they
partner with are Solid Bench, Mianzi,
Anantaya, Objectry, This and That, Hidden
Gallery, Leah Singh, etc.

The design house of I’M, The Centre for Applied Arts’ design intervention
strive for a selection of materials that can be easily recycled such as wood
and pure metals like brass and copper. Much of their furniture is crafted
from locally sourced wood and wherever possible eco-friendly foam is
used for the in-built structure. The designs are worked out in a manner
that there is minimal wastage of material, thereby minimising scraps. TIHG
