my happy place

for a special haven of greenery in London’s RichmondPETERSHAM NURSERIES
I stumbled across the front gate by chance, mere weeks
after it opened. I had just got back from India and was
drawn in by all the lovely and unusual, yet familiar-to-me,
finds. You might call it a garden centre, but it’s so much
more – plants displayed in a bucolic, rambling way, rustic
homeware and pots aplenty. I’ve since visited more than a
hundred times, shopping for Christmas decorations,
meandering around the gardens and indulging in way too
much cake. I’d happily live there if they’d have me.
