ove them or hate them, the summer holidays are
upon us which leads to the usual scramble for
activities to entertain our little darlings. One sure fire
way to keep them enthralled is the stage adaptation
of some of Beatrix Potter’s classic tales. Playing at
the Theatre Royal Haymarket throughout August, the
all-singing all-dancing production brings to life the key
Potter characters from Mrs Tiggy-Winkle to Jemima
Puddle-Duck and the titular Peter Rabbit who is
getting into all sorts of mischief, of course! Watch out
for the show-stopping performance of not one, but six
simultaneous Mr McGregors trying to catch the rascal.
With narration by Myleene Klass and Griff Rhys Jones,
these timeless stories will live long in the children’s
memories – or at least until they go back to school!

his gripping read
recalls the trials and
tribulations the writer
herself experienced
during her time with
the infamous ‘fake
heiress of New York
City’ Anna Delvey (AKA
Anna Sorokin). The first
part of the novel focuses on Rachel’s friendship
with Anna and the lavish lifestyle the ‘heiress’
leads. As the story develops, we begin to feel the
pair drifting apart as Rachel becomes suspicious
of Anna’s spending. A true story of friendship and
shocking betrayal. RRG ★ ★ ★ ★

icking off with
Youth, a tune fit
for a California road
trip, Feeder’s tenth
studio album shows
off what they do best.
After 25 years, the Welsh duo pump just as much
energy into their rock as ever. ‘It’s a classic Feeder
record,’ says frontman Grant Nicholas. ‘I just write
the songs which feel natural to me.’ In a top 40
currently dominated by grime and, as much as we
love him, Lewis Capaldi, Tallulah is a breath of fresh
air for those still head over heels for vintage guitar
rock. OUT 9 AUGUST RRG ★ ★ ★ ★

eaturing the voices of Daniel Radcliffe, Meghan
Trainor and Adam Lambert, Playmobil: The Movie
tells the story of a little brother and his teenage sister
who are sucked into the Playmobil universe. The
director, Lino DiSalvo, was the head of animation on
Frozen and Tangled so the film was always going to
be in good hands visually. It’s fun and action-packed,
and while it may be a little hard to follow, we’ve no
doubt your little ones will love it all the same.
