star Julia Goulding is being
photographed in a gorgeous floor-
length red dress and it’s fair to
say she’s at the ‘pregnancy glow’ stage!
‘I love being pregnant now I’m in my
second trimester – I feel fantastic,’
says the actress, who’s 23 weeks
pregnant with her and husband Ben
Silver’s first child.
‘We spoke about having children
on our first date, so we’re over the
moon,’ adds Ben, who’s studying to be a
primary school teacher.
Julia, 34, also tells OK! that her
co-star Tina O’Brien guessed she was
pregnant the day she found out! ‘I went
to work and she looked at me and she
asked if I was pregnant! I was like: “How
the hell can you tell?!”’ laughs the star,
who has played Shona Ramsey on the
ITV soap since 2016.
Julia and Ben met when Ben’s
younger brother Josh was at RADA
alongside the actress and the couple’s
good friend, Rocketman star Taron
Egerton, who was master of ceremonies
at their wedding last year. In fact, Ben,
31, is a little jet lagged on the day of our
shoot, having just returned from a trip to
LA with Taron, who was promoting his
new Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age
Of Resistance.
While at RADA, Ben’s brother Josh
told Julia that if she met his olderbrother, she’d fall in love with him, and
he was spot on! The pair met and felt
an instant connection but they wanted
to make sure they were both ready to
settle down before getting together, as
they both sensed that once they did,
that would be it. ‘I just knew that if I got
with Ben, it would probably be forever,’
says Julia.
They remained friends and, in
February 2016, they went on their
first date! They moved in together a
few months later and got engaged in
early 2018. Their beautiful wedding,
which exclusively featured in OK!, took
place at Manchester’s Albert Hall in
December 2018.
Here the happy couple open up
about pregnancy hormones, their
‘dream’ marriage and their excitement
about impending parenthood...You look amazing, Julia...
Ben: She does. I think Julia looks more
beautiful than she’s ever looked.
Julia: I love being pregnant now I’m in
my second trimester. I’ve had a relatively
easy time, aside from the usual gripes,
like swollen feet and a sore back!
Ben: And a husband who doesn’t
understand hormones [laughs]!
Julia: No, Ben’s been marvellous. He’s
put up with all my hormones!
Ben: I’ve read books like How Not To
F*** Them Up and Pregnancy For
