The North Fork Table And Inn serves up dishes using Long Island
produce, such as Long Island Fluke, as well as a heavenly coconut
tapioca pudding with passion fruit sorbet and basil.
For a dinner with a view, head to The Halyard Restaurant in
Greenport. Overlooking the beaches of Long Island Sound, OK! loved
our traditional baked clam dish. Equally picturesque is the Cowfish
in Hampton Bays, a charming waterfront spot where OK! tucked into
a lobster roll, an island staple, and an ice tea with lemonade locally
called an Arnold Palmer.

Styled like a French château,

Oheka Castle is a magnificent

private home turned hotel that

was the inspiration for The Great

Gatsby mansion. Situated on the

island’s North Shore, OK! loved

lying in our standalone bath

admiring views of the manicured

grounds. The five-star hotel is

a popular wedding venue and

played host to Kevin Jonas’s

nuptials, as well as being the

backdrop to Taylor Swift’s Blank

Space music video.

In contrast, The Menhaden

is a super-stylish boutique hotel

named after a local fish with a

nod to the village’s fishing roots.

The highlight of this 16-room

hotel is the roof deck where you

can soak in views of Greenport

Harbour, a historic coastal town

that guests can also explore on

one of the hotel’s bikes.

In South Fork, where Jennifer

Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow have

homes, OK! stayed at the White

Fences Inn in Water Mill – a

luxury B&B with an outdoor pool

• where we were greeted by the
  owners’ friendly Goldendoodle
  pup called Bailey. Guests here
  are close to Sag Harbour with its
  cool-coastal vibe.
