Simplenote

Simplenote is a minimalistic app to keep notes, checklists,
ideas and set up reminders. Open it, jot down some ideas, thoughts or
notes, and you’re done. As your collection of notes grows, you can search
for them and keep them organized with tags and pins. Your notes sync
with all your devices. You can back up your notes online and share them or
collaborate on them with others. If you want a distraction-free experience
and don’t need many features beyond the ability to make plain text notes,

The SmartHalo 2 Bike Computer turns your bike into a smart two-wheeler. Its
1.5-inch OLED display with PeekDisplay showcases various metrics in real time,
including rider’s speed, time, distance and calories burned. Compatible with
Google Assistant, you can get notifications for incoming calls and from apps
like Messenger, Slack and WhatsApp. The SmartHalo 2 also features detailed
navigation like the distance to an upcoming turn, weather alerts and points
of interest on the path. It will even tell you how much you’ve saved in CO2
emissions. Its Parking Reminder lets you know where you parked your bike.
There is no on or off button on SmartHalo; instead it greets you with a colourful
animation of your choice when you hop on the bike and turns off on its own
when you’re done riding. It securely locks onto your handlebar and only your
unique HaloKey can unlock it. A 250-lumen front light and internal motion
sensors and a piercing 110-decibel alarm form part of its anti-theft system.

Why July 17? Apple first announced its calendar app,
iCal, on July 17, 2002. Several major platforms
like Apple, Google, Samsung display July 17 on
their calendar emoji. But calendar emoji dates
vary based on the significant dates for platforms;
e.g., WhatsApp (Feb 24, incorporation day) and
Twitter (Mar 21, founding day). The mascot for
the Day is ‘Globe-moji’.
