The public and Phumzile Dube’s family
have been patiently waiting since 2014
for justice to prevail in the culpable-
homicide case against former president
Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzani.
Duduzani walked out of the Randburg
Magistrate’s Court a free man after he
was found not guilty of the charge.
Our justice system seems to let down
the victims, especially when they come
up against the wealthy and powerful.
Phumzile’s family will always be in
pain. Their loved one is gone forever.

The decision by Gauteng Education
MEC Panyaza Lesufi not to rebuild
schools that have been burnt down by
protesting community members is
controversial but it must be applauded.
It will send the message that anarchy
and criminal acts will not be condoned
in a democratic country like ours. 
Why do protesters vandalise and
destroy schools and libraries in the
name of demanding better services?
People need to take responsibility for
their actions and there needs to be
consequences for stupid decisions.

The greatest mistake we can ever make
is believing that our happiness is
dependent on how others treat us and
the things we own.
I believe that one’s happiness is
entirely up to the individual, how you
handle the situations life throws at you
and how you take life as a whole. 
Yes, sad and tough events are going to
come your way now and then, but if you
deal with them calmly you will master
inner-peace, which will then release
self-infused happiness, the greatest
form of happiness one can access.
