Airgun World – July 2019

14 AIRGUN WORLD http://www.airgunshooting.co.uk

Reg Foote from Hampshire is the lucky winner of our May Air Arms S
spot-the-difference prize, and he claims a fantastic £800 combo for his
£1.50 outlay! Reg is a dedicated hunter and that most fortunate of fellows,
a repeat winner. He told us that way back in the 1990s, he won a Webley
Longbow in a competition run by our sister magazine, Air Gunner. He’s a
staunch Air Arms fan, too, and his dearest wish is to win a ‘Golden Ticket’
that gets him on an Air Arms factory tour. With Reg’s luck, he probably will!
Meanwhile, good luck to everyone entering this month’s competition, where
another Air Arms, the superb Pro-Sport, is up for grabs!

Profound apologies, everyone! We somehow published the wrong spot-the-
difference solution image in our last issue, which understandably caused
some serious confusion among our readers. Please don’t worry, though, our
winner DID spot the correct differences on the proper photo and the May
competition went ahead entirely according to plan. Sorry for any
inconvenience caused - and the best of luck in this month’s competition!

OOPS! HERE’S APRIL’S MIX-UP IMAGE!

IT’S ALL DOWN TO ALDERS!
On September the 1st Jolly Roger Custom
Rifles together with Alders Farm Air Gun
Ranges are holding a charity open day on
behalf of the Royal British Legion. The
choice of The Legion as beneficiary was
easy because Darren, from Alders, and Kit,
from Jolly Roger, share a love of shooting
and a military background, both are Legion
members, and Kit made the ‘Lest We
Forget’ rifle a year or two ago.
Apart from raising money we hope to
bring together people from all branches of
the sport, for a fun social gathering. The
indoor range at Alders Farm will be

offering introductory sessions with
instruction, and the outdoor range will
host a competition, from 9am until
3pm, based on several different
disciplines. There is a competition entry
fee of £20, with cash prizes for the
winners.
Kit is building a rifle to be raffled for
the Legion, themed on the Victoria
Cross and we’ll bring you all the details
as soon as we have them!
