FOCUSUSINGAF:Withallthesettingsdialledin,it’s timetogetthedronein theair
andintopositionreadytostartfilming.Withinthemaincamerasettingsmenu,
whichis accessedby clickingonthe cogiconbelowthe shutterbutton,youcanswitch
offffcontinuousAFthat’s setbydefault.Now,whenyouautofocus,oncefocuslockson,
it willremainfixedat thatpointsoclickonthephonescreenat apointthat’sone-thirdof
the distance into the scene to help maximise depth-of-fieldbefore you startfilming.

ADDANNDFILTER:WhenassessingwhichNDfilteryou’ll needtoslowdownthe
shutterspeedtodoubletheselectedframerate,it helpstohaveanunderstanding
ofstops:1/125sec,1/250sec,1/500secandsoon.Whatyou’llnoticeis thatshutterspeed
doublesorhalvesperstopasyouincreaseordecrease.So,forourvideo,wherewewere
shootingat 30fpsandtheshutterspeedwascomingin at 1/500sec,weneededtousea
three-stop/ND8 filter to reduce shutter speedto 1 /60sec for natural-looking results.

SHOOT IN MANUAL
When shooting video with any
camera, it’s always best to shoot in
manual mode with White Balance set to
a preset such as Daylight. This avoids the
camera selecting settings that would
diminish the quality of your video.
Full control of everything
is essential.
