BOB BOB CITÉ
The City’s brightest new star is undeniably Bob Bob Cité, housed
in the Leadenhall Building and designed by London-based studio
BradyWilliams in collaboration with owner Leonid Shutov.
Described by studio co-founder Shayne Brady as ‘ultra-camp meets
ultra-luxury’, it serves up fine French cuisine with a side of Russian
panache in a futuristic – and unapologetically fun – series of dining
spaces from lunch till late. If it enjoys the success of the original
Bob Bob Ricard, with its iconic ‘push for champagne’ button, it
will be a worthy addition to the City indeed ( bobbobcite.com).

LINO
Sandwiched between the Barbican and St Paul’s, Lino puts a
shared emphasis on drinks and dishes. Designers Wright & Bell
have balanced the former linoleum warehouse’s imposing
industrial shell with plush velvet upholstery in shades of salmon
pink and pale blue, as well as wood-panelled walls. At its heart
is a holistic approach to minimising waste via a promise to ‘re-
use, re-love and re-imagine’; an innovative food and cocktails
menu is flavoured by colourful jars of homemade ferments and
pickles that line the kitchen, and the morning ’s leftover pastries
make their way into the croissant ice cream (linolondon.co.uk).

SERATA HALL
It’s a similar story over at Old Street, home to the new eaterie and
drinking den Serata Hall (sibling to Canova and Martello). While
the area – dubbed the ‘Silicon Roundabout’ for its creative tech
agencies – isn’t part of the square mile, it embodies the breadth
the city has to offer. Promising a lively hangout without wandering
into Shoreditch proper, Serata Hall has an in-house bakery and
distillery, hot desking scheme and takeaway options. An airy
dining hall flanked by forest green banquettes and dotted with
palms, it invites you to settle in for the day (seratahall.com).
