o matter where I go these days the topic
of conversation always touches on real
estate. Everyone wants to know what to
buy, where to buy and people comment on how
much construction is happening. As Jamaica is
experiencing a real estate boom, it seems as if more
people are now tuned in to what our team has
always known, that real estate is a great investment.
Jamaica is one of the largest islands in the Caribbean,
but two things set us apart from the rest, our rich
culture and our diverse terrain. You can be at the
beach in the morning and end the evening in
the hills, by a fireplace sipping a hot cup of Blue
Mountain coffee. Our real estate offers a lot of value
for money but our product needs to catch up with
islands like Cayman, St Barth’s and the Dominican
Republic. There are so many great deals to be found
in Jamaica and we have something for everyone. As
a broker, my advice is buy now before prices increase
and avoid regretting the purchase you should have
made.
With interest rates dropping and some lenders now
offering up to 110% financing, buying property has
never been easier. Whether you are buying a pre-
construction unit or buying something on the resale
market, the experienced team at Coldwell Banker
Jamaica Realty can guide you on how to make the
choice that will be the right fit for you and your
family.
We have been getting a lot of renewed interest in
property from members of the diaspora who are
eager to find their footing once again in Jamaica.
Thank you for the calls and the e-mails and I urge
those of you who are thinking about investing in
Jamaica to take a leap of faith. We are living in very
exciting times and while the real estate sector is
doing well, so are other sectors of our economy. It is
a great time to “come home.”
This issue of KÚYA will give you an insider look at what’s happening around the island
and what some of the hottest buys are right now. Considering a vacation home?
Why not look to Paradise Bay in Reading or The Aqueducts in Negril for an apartment
that is easy to manage, even from a distance. Are you thinking of buying your first
home? The Cambridge, on the outskirts of New Kingston may be just what you need
or if commercial real estate tickles your fancy, we can find you a place that will offer
a great return on investment. Bloomfield in Mandeville maybe?
If you have put down this magazine and still haven’t found what you are looking for,
follow @cbjrealty on Instagram or Facebook and while you are there, also search for
our individual agent pages. You will be entertained and I am certain that once you
start following our daily updates, the real estate bug will be sure to bite.
Until next time, walk good!
