    Skyteam members AeroMexico and Air Europa have expanded their
    codeshare partnership, covering additional routes via Madrid and
    Mexico City. These gradually went into effect from 10Jun19 (or earlier).

    Madrid – Seville, Madrid – Stockholm Arlanda


Aeropostal [Venezuela] is reportedly to be liquidated soon due to
financial difficulties.

Aeroregional [Ecuador] has received AOC certification to begin
scheduled domestic flights. The launch date of the flights is still
undetermined as the airline first needs approval on the actual routes.
It plans to add more B737 Classics in August 2019.

Aigle Azur [ZI/AAF] [France] signed a codeshare agreement with ASL

Air Astana [KC/KZR] [Kazakhstan] has again delayed delivery of
three previously ordered B787s to 2023.
The carrier has received new aircraft E190-E2, serial 20014, the
third of five aircraft, taken on lease from AerCap (Ireland).
Air Astana has signed an MOU with Somon Air in a collaboration to
strengthen civil aviation and structure carriers in the region.

Air Austral [UU/REU] [French Indian Ocean] has grounded one of its
two B787-8s, serial 34510, for at least two months after a planned
Trent 1000 engine check. The carrier is looking for interim solutions
and is chartering one B747 from Wamos Air (Spain).
Air Austral wet leased an A330-200 from Aigle Azur (France) from
16Jun19 to cover its Paris – Mayotte route via Mombasa, as well as
Mayotte – Reunion.

Air Ayiti [Haiti] may acquire a B767 for long-haul flights to Montreal ,
Argentina, Barbados and Chile. Operations were set to begin on
07Jun19 from Cap Haitien to Miami with a leased A320.

Air Belgium [KF/ABB] [Belgium] will operate British Airways’ London
Heathrow – Cairo service using an A340-300 (replacing BA’s B787) from
18Aug19 to 31Oct19.
Air Belgium services for Sun Express using an A340-300 included
31/5 Stuttgart-Antalya from 31May19; Basel & Zurich to Antalya from

Aero K [South Korea] is in talks about ordering 12 A320neos, with
additional used A320s or new Neos on lease for delivery in early 2020.
The carrier is still on track to take delivery of the initial three A320s. Its
initial order for eight A320s was dropped.


Aeroflot [SU/AFL] [Russia] will not get compensation for the delayed
delivery of the MC-21, which has been postponed until 2021.
Aeroflot stopped operating flights to Georgia beginning on
08Jul19, in line with a government decree.
The Aeroflot Group phased out one A319, one A320 and one SSJ100
in May 2019, ending the month with a fleet of 367 aircraft. The carrier
is ready to sign a firm contract for the supply of a 100 SSJ100s later in
2019, despite the recent crash in Moscow.
Aeroflot Russian Airlines has updated its summer 2020 operational
schedule, including the launch of Airbus A350-900XWB services, in a
C28W24Y264 configuration:

Skyteam members Aeroflot and Vietnam Airlines have commenced
a reciprocal codeshare partnership, covering selected domestic routes,
as well as flights between Russia and Vietnam. Approximately effective
from 11Jun19 (or earlier), the planned codeshare routes include the
following:

  • Hanoi – Cam Ranh/Nha Trang, Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi –
    Moscow Sheremetyevo, Hanoi – Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City – Cam
    Ranh/Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc


Aerolinea Del Caribe [Peru] has applied to US regulators for a foreign
air carrier permit, authorising it to engage in charters between the US
and any point or points, utilising its two B747-400s.


Aerolineas Argentinas [AR/ARG] [Argentina] plans to provide
technical services to other companies to improve its revenue, with the
maintenance unit looking to achieve a turnover of US$10 million.
Aerolineas Argentinas lost US$486.7 million in 2018 due to
devaluation of the peso and high fuel costs, but managed to keep the
same level of subsidies received from the state.

The airline served Orlando until May 2000.
Aerolineas Argentinas has adjusted operational frequencies for its
Buenos Aires Ezeiza – New York JFK route, which sees service reduction
from 7 to 4-6 weekly. Airbus A330-200 aircraft operate this route.

Aeromar [VW/TAO] [Mexico] has averted a strike by its pilots after
they accepted an offer of a wage increase.
Aeromar concluded a market capitalisation of US$35 million to
shore up its balance sheet, ending its partnership with Synergy Group
(Brazil).


Aeromexico [AM/AMX] [Mexico] is considering its options regarding
a possible compensation from Boeing due to B737 MAX grounding.
The carrier is to launch its own ad hoc charter unit, called
Aeromexico Private Jets, in cooperation with Aerolineas Ejecutivas.
On 31May19 Aeromexico launched four times weekly Mexico City



  • Calgary services.
    AeroMexico has expanded its codeshare partnership with Delta,
    whereby AM-coded flight numbers are placed on additional routes via
    Los Angeles. Approximately from 20May19 or earlier, planned new
    codeshare routes as follows:
