LATAM [LA/LAN] [Chile] expects its two A350s out on lease to return
in 2020, with the remaining one returning in 2021. The A320s out on
lease still have four more years remaining on the contracts.
LATAM Airlines Group (Chile) is considering continuing to pursue
the deal with American Airlines and IAG (UK), but without the
involvement of Chile. Authorities in Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil all
approved the deal in 2018.
The Group has reported a net loss of US$60 million and revenues
down 7.5% to $2.5 billion, with $1.5 billion in cash. It was reducing its
forecast for growth in its international flights to a maximum of 2% growth.
In Brazil, it raised its forecast for capacity growth to between 5-7%.
LATAM Airlines Group (Chile) will suspend planned services from
Sao Paulo to Munich and Rome set for October 2019 due to
overcapacity in the market.

LATAM Airlines Brasil [JJ/TAM] [Brazil] will bid for at least one of the
units of Avianca Brasil within the framework of an auction to be held
shortly.

LOT Polish Airines [LO/LOT] [Poland] is interested in further
development of the market of the Baltic states, after signing a
renewed cooperation agreement with Nordica (Estonia).
The airline has ruled out cancelling an order for grounded B737
MAX but urged the manufacturer to take steps to restore its credibility
after two accidents.
LOT Polish Airlines will take delivery of one B737-700, serial 30651,
from Boeing Capital in light of the B737 MAX grounding.

Lufthansa [LH/DLH] [Germany] CEO Carsten Spohr says the market
is currently seeing the final phase before strong consolidation, as
bigger players will be worried about losing market share.
Lufthansa plans aircraft changes for its Frankfurt – Cairo service,
with an A330-300 replacing an A321 in 3Q19.
The carrier plans a seasonal Munich – Tallinn route with an A319
from 04Nov19; and a Munich – Newcastle service, also with an A319,
commencing on 03Feb20.
Lufthansa will look at ordering the A321XLR, says chief executive
Carsten Spohr, but added that he did not think the new model was a
game changer.
The Lufthansa Group announced that its subsidiary Eurowings will
focus on short-haul services in future, as its Eurowings long-haul
services to be transferred to the Network unit. Brussels Airlines will be

    additional A220-300s to its order with delivery beginning in 2025.
    JetBlue will launch new nonstop seasonal winter services between
    New York JFK and Pointe-a-Pitre in February 2020, with A320.
    The carrier is urging US regulators to add conditions that protect
    and promote competition as part of the proposed alliance between
    Qantas (Australia) and American Airlines (US).
    New services include flights from Boston & Fort Lauderdale to
    Steamboat Springs, both twice weekly (W & Sat) from 14Dec19, using
    an A320; and from New York JFK to Guayaquil daily from 05Dec19,
    using an A321neo.


Kenya Airways [KQ/KQA] [Kenya] has leased a Jambojet Q400 to
allow it fly to Blantyre route as ongoing works at Chileka International
Airport runway blocks bigger aircraft from landing there.
Kenya Airways is considering Hargeisa as its next destination in the
Horn of Africa, after the country’s parliament approved the flights.
Kenya Airways is willing to operate under a state-owned holding
company after the airline failed in its bid to jointly run the country’s
main airport.
The airline may be nationalised as part of an effort to turn around
the loss-making airline. Kenya’s transport, public works and housing
committee also proposed setting up of an aviation holding company
with four subsidiaries, one of which would run the airline.
Kenya Airways plans to begin services from Nairobi to Beijing
Daxing in 2020 with two B787-8s.
The carrier plans to double its fleet over the next five years to over
80, as it looks to compete with regional rivals. It is also restructuring
its aircraft leasing agreements and its other debts to free up cash for
investment in new aircraft.


Korean Air [KE/KAL] [South Korea] received 200th Boeing aircraft
with its 25th B77W HL-8346 (63434), which has an appropriate 200
marking on nose.
Korean Air is interested in further orders of the A220 family,
particularly if there is a stretched A220-500 one day.
The carrier plans to respond more aggressively against the growing
LCC competition in its home market.

Kuwait Airways [KU/KAC] [Kuwait] ferried its last B747-400, serial
27338, to Twente Airport, where it will be dismantled by AELS
(Netherlands).
