for DHL, two B747-400Fs currently operating for DHL will begin flying
for other Atlas customers.

ATR announced a total of 75 order commitments, including 35 firm
orders, at the Paris air show, with a total value of US$ 1.7 billion,
indicating that the company is well on track to achieve its order
targets for 2019.

Avation (Singapore) has entered into a sale/leaseback with Cebu
Pacific (Philippines) for a new ATR72-600. The aircraft was scheduled
to be delivered on 24May19 when it will commence a long-term,
market rate operating lease. The aircraft is in addition to Avation’s
order book for ATR aircraft.
Avation PLC Finance Director Richard Wolanski says the company
aims to double its fleet in the next seven years, as it is growing at a
faster rate than its larger rivals.
The company has acquired and leased its sixth and final new A220-
300 to airBaltic (Latvia). The 12-year lease for serial 55053 commenced
on 15May19.
Avation PLC has completed the acquisition of a B737-800 from
another lessor. The aircraft, which is approximately nine years old, is
on lease to Garuda Indonesia.
Avation PLC has delivered a new ATR72-600 to Cebu Pacific Air
(Philippines). Credit Agricole CIB (France) acted as Sole Arranger,
Facility Agent and Security Trustee for the commercial financing of this
aircraft.

AviaAM Financial Leasing China has recently acquired one more
B777-300ER, powered by GE90-115BG03 engine, with a lease
agreement attached to Emirates (UAE). Novus Aviation Capital (UAE)
partnered on the deal.
The company earned US$55.3 million revenues and posted a record
net profit up 9% to $32.6 million. Its current value has reached almost
$1 billion.
AviaAM Leasing sold one A321-200 to Aergo Capital (Ireland) with
a lease attached to SmartLynx Airlines (Latvia).

Aviation Capital Group (US) has delivered one new A350-900, serial
234, to Asiana Airlines (South Korea), the first of two new on long-term
lease to the carrier. The second aircraft is scheduled for delivery in
October 2019.
Aviation Capital Group has selected GTF engines to power an
additional 10 firm order and 10 option A320neo family aircraft.

AVIC XACC (China) says delivery of large parts of the MA700 has
begun, as the middle section of the aircraft’s fuselage rolled off the
production line and is ready to be checked.

Avolon (Ireland) announced it has selected LEAP-1A engine to power
an additional 70 A320neos. The order is valued at US$2.06 billion at list
price.
Avolon ended 1Q19 with an owned and managed fleet of 553
aircraft, with total orders and commitments for 398 new aircraft. It
also executed a total of eight leases, delivered a total of 12 new
aircraft, and sold 20 aircraft.

BOC Aviation (Singapore) announced the delivery of its 350th Airbus
aircraft, an A320neo on leased to TAP Air Portugal powered by CFM
Leap engines.
BOC Aviation has delivered a new A320neo to Qingdao Airlines
(China), powered by GTF engines.
The company has delivered the final B737-800 from its orderbook,
on lease to Skymark Airlines (Japan). It has also placed three B737-
800s with SpiceJet (India), all of them delivered in May 2019. The
aircraft are powered by CFM56 engines.

Boeing and Air Lease (US) have announced a commitment to purchase
five B787-9s, valued at US$1.5 billion at list prices.

  • China Airlines (Taiwan) has announced its intention to order up to
    six B777Fs to modernise its cargo fleet as it launches operations
    from Taipei to North America and Europe.

occur around 2022-23, as talks with suppliers are ongoing.
Airbus achieved orders for 363 commercial aircraft, comprising 149
firm orders and 214 commitments, at the Paris Air Show. It launched
the A321XLR there, which brings 30% lower fuel burn per seat than
previous-generation competitor aircraft. Starting from 2023, the
aircraft will deliver an extra long range of up to 4,700nm – 15% more
than the A321LR and with the same fuel efficiency. An early potential
customer is Indigo Partners of the US.
Airbus and AFI KLM E&M have agreed a technical and commercial
partnership to co-develop and manage a virtual engine run-up A320
maintenance PC-based training solution.
Airbus has announced an order for 10 A220s from an undisclosed
customer, as well as another order for 20 A321XLRs, also from an
undisclosed customer.
The manufacturer has announced that the A220 Family aircraft will
now be offering increased range starting from 2H20. The A220 aircraft
MTOW is now confirmed to increase by 2,268 kg.
Airbus Canada Limited Partnership is the new name of CSALP
(Canada) and became effective from 01Jun19. The partnership is
adopting the Airbus logo as its single visual identity.
Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury says, while responding to the recent
grounding of Jet Airways, that Indian airlines should become positively
competitive to make the country’s aviation market sustainable in the
long term.
Airbus expects to earn more than US$10 billion in services revenue
over the next decade, as it predicts that the value of the aircraft
services market over the next 20 years will be nearly equal to the value
of new aircraft sales.
Airbus’ founding father, Roger Beteille, passed away at the age of
97, shortly after the company celebrated its 50th anniversary on
29May19.
Airbus has developed a scale-model aeroplane with the first in-
flight, flapping wing-tips to reduce drag and overall wing weight, while
combating the effects of turbulence and wind gusts.
Airbus has signed a MOU with SAS Scandinavian Airlines for hybrid
and electric aircraft eco-system and infrastructure requirements
research. It is considering bringing the world’s first hybrid-electric
airliner to market as it weighs its strategy for replacing the A320neo
narrowbody by 2035.
Airbus has rejected claims it has shifted position over the UK’s exit
from the EU after an article suggested its stance on Brexit may have
changed.
The carrier has written to airline leaders to appeal for their backing
in a trade dispute with rival Boeing, warning of higher aircraft prices
and passenger fares should the US and EU descend into a tariff war. It
held out the prospect of a clash over prices to counter any decision by
Boeing to launch a new aircraft in the middle of the jet market, by
promising a counter-punch with two of its existing models.
Airbus is near a deal to sell up to 10 A330neos to Virgin Atlantic
(UK). The airline has been evaluating the upgraded A330 model
against the B787.
The company has opened a new sales offices in Buenos Aires, with
the intention of “strengthening its presence in Latin America and
reaffirming its commitment to the country”.
Airbus Services has launched the development of a new enhanced
Flight Hour Service offering: “FHS Powered by Skywise”.


ALAFCO (Kuwait) has announced that it has selected the LEAP-1A
engines to power 30 firm and 20 option new A320neos.


Arctic Aviation Assets (Ireland) has reached an agreement in
principle with Airbus regarding a restructuring of the fleet delivery
schedule, including both A320neos and A321LRs. The restructuring will
reduce capital expenditure by approximately US$670 million for 2019
and 2020 and $2.4 billion over the next five years.
It has also reached an agreement with Boeing to postpone the
delivery of 14 737 MAX aircraft originally due for delivery in 2020 and
2021.


Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (US) has announced the start of
increased B777-200F CMI services for DHL Express (Germany), the
addition of a third B747-400F for Asiana Cargo (South Korea), and the
beginning of a long-term, B747-400F charter program for a large
