The impressive anthropomorphic figures created by
artist Rebecca Kudela have travelled everywhere,
from the European Parliament and the largest
aquarium of Spain to the beaches of several
countries where they were exhibited right on the
seashore with a view to encouraging people to use
less disposable plastic.
In Norway, the “Future of Fjords” is an excellent
example of the “greenest” passenger ship ever
built. It has absolutely no harmful impact on the
environment whereas it also helps maintain the
beautiful fjords.
In faraway Australia, Chef Josh Niland sends
out a strong message from his restaurant about
the extinction of several marine species due
to overfishing. Following strict rules for the
selection of the products he uses in his kitchen,
he makes best use of the gourmet gems of the
sea, adopting a sustainable approach to fishing,
and explores not only new worlds of flavour but
also radical ways of storage and preservation.
Featuring truly poetic images, the exciting short
films titled “Ocean Gravity” and “Narcose” portray
Julie Gautier ‘s great love for the ocean, as does
“Les Films Engloustis”, in which she worked
closely with her husband, the famous free diving
pioneer, Guillaume Néry.
Discovering the beauty and significance that lie
in the depths of the ocean, Panthalassa’s award-
winning initiatives are regularly presented on
famous platforms such as National Geographic
and Nowness. Their forever growing number of
new stories aims to inspire and get everyone to
see the next day on a planet that is struggling to
survive.
