She does loveaccessorising though.Aneesa Dhody Mehta: I’m a little more practical in my approachto fashion and I’ll always be a boho child at heart. Nadine is amore like our mom. She’s quite sophisticated and always verywell put together. And she’s constantly telling me what to wear.NDJ: In fact, I recently suggested that she give me the money shewould spend on herself and let me buy her wardrobe. We’regoing to do a test run at Zara irst.Was your mother a big influence on your style?NDJ: Our mother’s style is very classical, it was never over thetop. But she used to live in Dolce & Gabbana and we haveinherited a lot of those pieces.Do you think fashion can be a good investment?NDJ: Deinitely. I started out collecting good accessories andnow I look for nice jackets. Once you invest in these pieces youcan save them and pass them on to the next generation.One item you would steal from each other’s wardrobes.ADM: Nads has a lilac Chanel boy bag that I would totally whack.And I know what she wants from me!NDJ: So the Dior Saddlebag has recently made a comebackand Aneesa has an original one from our mother which I’mdeinitely eyeing.Both of you work in luxury and fashion in diferent ways. Tell usabout what you do.ADM: With my agency Creative Co, I help lifestyle and luxurybrands get more visibility or launch themselves in a new market.NDJ: For the last three years I’ve had my own occasionwear brand.I started working in my mother’s factory where I had access to herkarigars and tailors. At irst I was designing clothes for myself, I waslooking to make Indianwear that was more modern, and slowly myclientele grew.Would the two of you ever work together?ADM: It depends on where she wants to take her label.
