SASHA GREWAL AND KAABIA GREWAL,JEWELLERY DESIGNERS, OUTHOUSE``````How did you settle on a common vision for your jewellerylabel Outhouse?Sasha Grewal: Our aesthetic is a good mix of our personalities.It’s not trend-based and that’s what deines the whole brandaesthetic.Kaabia Grewal: We both knew we wanted to create somethingwe love rather than try to follow any trends.Do you ever agree to disagree?SG: So many times. If we agree 10 times, we disagree 20 times.KG: But that’s good because otherwise there is no challenge. Iftomorrow someone tells you they don’t like your work, youshould be open to criticism and try to improve.What is a typical working day like?SG: Each of us has our own responsibilities so that kind of setsthe pace for the day. We keep talking to each other though forinal approvals or decisions.How do you help each other’s work?KG: It’s more like we challenge ourselves to meet our variousdeadlines. As sisters, we drive each other to be better.SG: We take each other’s pressure in a good, strong, and positivemanner. With a sister around, there is somebody helping youget to your goal.Do you find it diicult to separate work and home?KG: Work travels with me everywhere.SG: Kaabia is very hardworking while I tend to work betterwhen there’s a deadline. Unlike her, I can switch of whenI come back home.How would you define each other’s style?SG: Kaabia is very colourful and she can pull of outits that area bit more in style.KG: Sasha’s sense of dress is very sharp and modern. Her look isclean but she’s not afraid to be a bit dramatic. She’s very good atmixing things together.What would you steal from your sister’s wardrobe?SG: I would steal Kaabia’s Fendi bag charm.KG: There are just too many things.
