“Those avocados are so
annoying, always bragging
about being a superfood.”
Picture yourself on a sun-kissed beach, relaxing under a
swaying palm tree with a cocktail in hand. Dan Jones,
author of Tequila: Shake, Muddle, Stir, shares his easy recipe
for a classic Tequila Sunrise—one sip and you’ll feel like
you’re in paradise!
To make Jones’ Tequila Sunrise: Fill a Collins glass
with ice, then add 1^1 ⁄ 2 oz. of gold tequila and 3 oz. of freshly
squeezed orange juice; stir gently with a long-handled spoon.
Drop a dash of grenadine on top so it sinks down through the
drink. The finishing touch? Add a straw and fun garnishes like
an orange or pineapple slice, speared maraschino cherries
and a cocktail umbrella.
