ne swami disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj
Ji had gone to Bangkok for conducting some spiritual
programs. The house in which he was lodging was
burgled that night and the robbers took many items. In haste
perhaps, they also took away the kurta of Swami ji. When Swami ji
came to know about the incident, he was shocked and frightened;
reason being, in the pocket of that kurta he had kept his passport.
According to the Bangkok' laws, it is mandatory to carry your passport at
all times. Indeed, the issue was serious. Being very anxious and worried,
he sat in sadhna (meditation based on Brahm Gyan) immediately. He
prayed to Maharaj Ji in the portals of his inner world. Tears rolled down
his eyes at the sacred feet of Maharaj Ji. In no time, Maharaj Ji
materialised in the inner chambers of his being. With utter humility,
Swami ji entreated before Maharaj Ji, “Maharaj Ji, if you so direct,
shall I lodge a complaint with the police? Shall I talk to the
officials at the embassy?” Maharaj Ji replied in just two
sentences– “If the burglar has taken it away, then the
burglar alone will return the same; you don't worry. Do you
think it is difficult for me to arouse feelings of kindness in
his heart?” Having said thus, Maharaj Ji dematerialised
from the inner world of Swami ji.
Maharaj Ji's revelations came true the next
day. A volunteer arrived to meet Swami ji. He
straightaway went to the portrait of Maharaj Ji,
offered salutations, and kept the kurta along
with the passport at His feet. Then he
turned to Swami ji and said, “Swami ji,
this morning I found this kurta lying in
the lawns of the garden. It must be an
act of the same burglar... Ah! How
fortunate we are, to have been
blessed with such a Master, who
has the capacity to reform the
wicked ones.” That brother
left having said thus.
Swami ji sat glued to his
seat taken aback. He
thought, “The biggest
burglar is rather the
Guru Himself! The one who
burgles the mind of the
burglar! He breaks into the heart
of t h e b u r g l a r t o s t e a l h i s
crookedness and generate the feelings
of kindness.” ||He
breaks
into the
heart of a
burglar too!
