O

ur fascination with lowriding begins with the lifestyle and soon becomes
focused on particular makes and models. Some choose bombs, others fancy
radicals, while some indulge in lowrider bikes. In short, lowriding is like a team
sport but instead of choosing a position to play, you have to choose a platform.
For Gerardo Raya his platform of choice is a ’61 Impala.
After attending his first car show at 11 years old, Gerardo was mesmerized by the ’61 Impala.
From there on in it was his mission to own one. Fast-forward to the present day and he’s the
owner of this stunning ’61 Impala. In all it took three years to transform his ride into what you
see here, but as luck would have it he started with a ’61 that had been painted by a previous
owner. After attending to some electrical issues and a bent flywheel, he did a once-over on the
entire car and the end result is one gem of a lowrider that holds its own. Shoot over to https://

got it and why the two previous owners sold it. LR
