22 CAR CRAFT OCTOBER 2019
Finally, a long bolt passes through the
A/C compressor and a polished-aluminum
spacer before threading into the main
system bracket.
Next is the belt tensioner, which also has a
polished finish. It attaches with a single bolt
and is aligned with two locating pins on the
back side.
A polished nose cover bolts to the front of
the A/C compressor using three Allen-head
bolts.
Above: Now for the moment of
truth: we use a^1 ⁄ 2 -inch drive
ratchet to rotate the tensioner
and then slip the Gatorback
serpentine belt into place.
Right: We give the alternator
pulley nut one final twist to
make sure it’s tight, then
install the polished-aluminum
pulley cover. It features a
rubber O-ring and simply
presses into place.
Below: After we attached all of the coolant and A/C hoses and installed the new aluminum radiator, we can see the finished product. The easy
install and high-end products included in the Concept One Victory Series pulley system make this a simple and stylish solution!
