expected to follow towards the end of 2019 and
into early 2020.
On top, you can expect a Colleen McGuinness
comedy series, an untitled Damien Chazelle
series, a Simon Kinberg and David Weil sci-fi
series, and Wolfwalkers, a cartoon film which
takes place in a world where wolves are
demonic creatures and must be tamed.
Though there are only a few series to get
your teeth stuck into just now, the content
that has been released is clearly high quality.
State-of-the-art photography, lighting, sound,
scripts, and direction - a cut above some
of the cheaper series produced en-mass to
appease today’s streaming-obsessed markets.
Indeed, Apple TV+ shows stand side by side
with top productions from the best studios in
Hollywood, rather than some of the smaller-
budget titles and IPs that have struggled to
capture an audience or much attention on
rival platforms.
AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE
One question on everybody’s lips ahead of the
Apple TV+ announcement earlier in the year
was accessibility, and whether Apple would
force consumers into its ecosystem before they
could access new content. But with so much
competition from other streaming providers, it
was soon clear that Apple had taken a different
approach, making its service as accessible as
possible to reach as many potential subscribers
as it could around the world. Once it had
overhauled its dedicated TV app for iPhones,
iPads, Apple TVs and now macOS devices, the
firm set about third-party access.
