UP FRONT

The Battle of the Kings is the ultimate Harley-Davidson Dealer-based custom motorcycle build-off and for the second year running
Australian dealers will be competing in this global competition with machines from all over the world. Australian and New Zealand dealers
have until the first of July 2019 to submit their creations and the voting to crown the ANZ winner will open online on July 15th. Once the
local winner has been decided, it will go into the global voting poll where the ultimate champion will be crowned at the end of 2019 at
EICMA in Milan. HEAVY DUTY will feature a selection of bikes as they are completed. Go you good things!

We recently had an
opportunity to test Bell
helmet’s latest Eliminator
model in real-world riding
conditions and came away
very impressed with this
great looking new model.
Bell claim “The Eliminator is
built for the street and has 60
years of evolution rolled into a
stripped down, no-BS helmet
that combines light weight,
perfect fit and a legendary
reputation for protection.” We
found it to be well suited to life
on a big V-twin.
The Eliminator has a
fiberglass composite shell and
can be worn with or without
a visor. We used it with the
visor and found it noteworthy
for overall effectiveness. It was
quiet with minimal wind noise.

Other features are a washable
anti-bacterial liner, contoured
cheek pads, eyewear pockets
woven into the liner and full
certification.
The Eliminator has
outstanding ventilation via a
series of holes that run along
the top. These can be covered
with an accessory plate for rain
riding or left open to provide a
steady flow of cooling breeze.
If the weather is cold you will
need to fit the cover.
If you’re looking to step up
protection for your melon,
HEAVY DUTY recommends
the Bell Eliminator series.
